HRC worried with state of civil and political right

The Human Rights Commission says Zambia is still faced with serious challenges regarding the enjoyment of civil and political rights.

Commission Spokesperson Samuel Kasankha says it is unfortunate that some individuals can be incriminated merely for relating well with their perceived political opponents.

Mr. Kasankha says it is high time that notion ceased to characterize the country’s political arena adding that politics and leadership is all about co- existing.

He says people must be allowed their rights of associating with whoever they deem fit as demanded by the human rights.
