RB says Panji’s preferred candidates always lose

President Rupiah Banda says he is not bothered by the plans by Colonel Panji Kaunda to convene a conference in Chipata to select a preferred presidential candidate.

Panji, the son of fomer president Kenneth Kaunda, told some local media that stakeholders in Eastern Province will this week be consulting on the candidate they will support for this year’s presidential election to ensure that the MMD is kicked out of office.

But president Banda who was in Chipata said that is fine with him because Kaunda’s candidates always tumble in elections.

President Banda was speaking just before leaving Chipata for Lusaka today.
