I can really foresee food riots in Zambia

In a country where an average family survives on less than a dollar a day, food subsidies must actually be increased. In fact 90% of Zambians could have been on food stamps in the USA. Even developed economies heavily subsidises farming products. Food is security. Australian farmers yesterday dumped food grain at the Prime Minister’s doorstep due to insufficient subsidies of farming products. What more Zambia where a meal a day is the norm in many families, who can only afford one type of food, nshima. This is the result of having people with no farming backgrounds in charge. I can really foresee food riots. ” Any leadership which is engulfed in their own opinions and not of the people they lead is bound to fail”. Winstone Churchill.
