I will consider my priesthood after 2016, now I am in politics to remove lairs from power – Fr Frank Bwalya

ABZ leader Fr. Frank Bwalya says he contributed to put liars who have betrayed the trust of the Zambian people into office, but has vowed to do even more to remove from the same office. Below is his full statement obtained by the Zambian Watchdog.

Statement by Frank Bwalya, leader of Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ)
25th April, 2014

It is now five years since I took leave of absence and later indefinite leave of absence from priestly ministry. After prayer, discernment and consultation I have decided the following;
1. My indefinite leave of absence from priestly ministry continues;
2. My involvement in partisan politics including seeking public office continues;
3. People should be free to address me as they wish including the following Frank Bwalya, Mr Frank Bwalya and Fr Frank Bwalya. I prefer to be called simply Frank Bwalya or FB;
4. I will only consider the issue of my priesthood after 2016;
I contributed to putting into office liars who have betrayed the trust of the people and I should do even more to remove them. I pledge to do everything to ensure that Zambians have servant leadership after 2016.
God will continue to guide me to realize my vision for Zambia namely “A Zambia of God fearing citizens who equitably share the fruits of economic progress”.
Finally, I thank all the people that have been helpful to me. I owe them for my personal sustenance. God will reward them abundantly.
