Patriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata has refused to be drawn into debate over his suitability to be republican president.
Speaking to Hot FM Sata was reacting to a statement by former president Frederick Chiluba who said none of the PF\UPND pact leaders are suitable to be president of this nation.
Chiluba further reiterated his support for the candidature of President Rupiah Banda.
Meanwhile,Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) National Chairman Michael Mabenga said no amount of threats would make him disclose his source of information about the PF’s alleged plot to destabilize his party.
Mabenga said it is alleged that the PF wants to print T-shirts for MMD bearing the face of Chiluba, suggesting that the former president wants to contest the 2011 elections.
However, the PF leader has described the allegations as unfounded and baseless.
