Angry residents have threatened to beat and burn the earth moving equipment hired by Unity distributors who have dubiously bought coronation park at K24,000 where they intend to build a block of shops.
The action of the residents followed the damage caused to water and electricity pipes and cables which led to disruption of service supply to surrounding areas.
The contractor is in a hurry to clear the land to avoid reversal of the deal in the event that there is change of government in the forthcoming elections.
PF parliamentarians James Kapyanga and Sydney Mushanga, Mayor Richard Bango and other councilors, directors and two church pastors from Kabwe Chapel pocketed over K700,000 to endorse the sale.
