Israeli leader prays for political and moral recovery of Zambia

Israeli President Shimon Peres says his country is praying for complete recovery of Zambia.

Perez made the remarks last evenning (Thursday) when he received credentials from Zambia’s non-resident ambassador to Israel Christina Lambert.

The Jerusalem Post reports that Pereze told Lamber that : “We pray for the complete recovery of Zambia, which was exploited for such a long time. It’s not just a matter of politics, but of moral responsibility.”

Peres assured Lambert that Israel was happy to share its technological knowledge to help boost Zambia’s agricultural outputs and aid its economy.

Lambert said she was  interested in receiving such assistance and was also keen to have Israel’s help in expanding the infrastructure of Zambia’s healthcare systems.

Lambert also wanted to see more Israeli tourists in Zambia, and noted that Zambia’s Victoria Falls was among the wonders of the world.
