COMMERCE Minister Emmanuel Chenda has described Patriotic Front (PF) failure to scoop all the four parliamentary by-elections held yesterday as a “Black Friday”
Mr Chenda said it was a “Black Friday ” for the PF to win only one of the four parliamentary by-election held yesterday
He was speaking this morning in Kitwe when he paid a courtesy call on District Commissioner (DC) Elias Kamanga before he went for a tour of companies in the industrial area.
“Today is indeed a black Friday for us because we have only won one of the four parliamentary by-elections held yesterday,” Mr Chenda said.
The PF has only scooped Mkushi North, the MMD has won Chipata central while the UPND has scooped Solwezi East and Kafulafuta constituencies.
And some PF youths in Wusakile, Kwacha and Nkana constituencies have celebrated PF’s failure to scoop all the four seats because they have been sidelined by some individuals in the party.
“We were in the forefront to campaign for PF when we were in the opposition, but after winning the elections, we have been sidelined by some individuals and so we are happy that PF has only won one of the four seats.
“In fact, it would have been better if they had lost all the four seats. We are suffering, instead of enjoying. Those who are enjoying are those who were not even there when we were campaigning,” said the youths.
