Janza joins Red Arrows

Honor Janza has left his role of Technical Director at the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) after seven years in the job and joined Red Arrows as head coach on a two-year contract.
FAZ president Andrew Kamanga told fazfootball.com that Janza had been released following a request for his services by Red Arrows.
“Mr. Janza has been given a contract by Red Arrows; that means he belongs to Red Arrows Football Club now. However, he will still be working with FAZ in his role as CAF Instructor when we call upon him for his services,” Kamanga said.
Red Arrows unveiled Janza on Friday and announced that he would be assisted by Chisi Mbewe, Songwe Chalwe and Kalililo Kakonje following approval of his appointment by their sponsors.
“Zambia Air Force, the sponsors of Red Arrows Football Club has approved a two year contract for Honor Janza as Head Coach. Mr Janza will be assisted by Chisi Mbewe and Songwe Chalwe as first and second assistant respectively while kalililo Kakonje maintains as goal keeper coach,” read a statement on the club’s official Facebook page.
“Mr Janza has been entrusted with the heavy task of repositioning the team where it belongs as a great team to reckon with. It is further expected that Arrows under his charge shall perform well and finish within the top four bracket or better win silverware.
“The contract runs for two seasons, the 2017 and 2018 football calendars. Mr. Janza has been given a go ahead to look for four players to strengthen the team in any department of his choice.”
Since 2011 when they finished second to Power Dynamos, Red Arrows finished fourth in 2012 and 2013, seventh in 2014 and 2016, and sixth in 2015.
Their only league title was won in 2004 and they won the Barclays Cup champions in 2013.
