Journalist Thomas Zyambo in court today

While Kabwe based investigative journalist Wilson Pondamali is still handcuffed to hospital bed, another journalist Thomas Zyambo will be brought before judges today in Lusaka.

Thomas Zyambo, another journalist suspected of working for Zambian Watchdog, is due to appear before a judge to take plea He is charged with possessing seditious material with the intention of publishing it. Clayson Hamasaka, the third journalist to have been arrested, has not yet been charged.

Officially, the Zambian Watchdog remains blocked inside Zambia but its Facebook fan page https://www.facebook.com/ZambianWatchdog is causing serious havoc with each article posted receiving an average of 300 comments within minutes.

The persecution of journalists suspected to be supplying news to the Watchdog has continued hitting international headline. Friday morning the story  was read on at list two radio Stations in South Africa.
