While government is stopping opposition leaders from camapaigning in some selected parts of the country, PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has launched the campaigns for the 2016 general elections with a message to party members to ensure that President Michael Sata is re-elected but insiders have told the Zambian Watchdog that Kabimba’s PF campaign are meant to revamp his plans to succeed Sata in unexplained circumstances.

Kabimba who is also justice minister kicked off the campaigns for his party in Kafue at the council chambers where he held a meeting on Saturday evening. He told the cadres to stay away from those who he claimed wanted to divide the party and ensure that their business dies.

But sources from the PF said Kabimba had started his Presidential campaigns in line with plans by his cartel which also comprises Post newspapers owner Fred M’membe.
“Mr. Kabimba feels the opposition he was facing within the party has ended, so before any uprisings start he wants to ensure that he crafts his name all over the country because the cartel is sure that Sata will not stand in 2016, they may use all means necessary just to ensure that the PF candidate is Wynter. The campaign he is launching is not for the PF and Michael Sata but to his own benefit,” said the source.

The source also said that Kabimba has indicated that of late he has been feeling insecure with Sata who seems to have stopped listening to the cartel hence his decision to launch the country wide campaigns programme.
