Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has made it compulsory for every government department in the country to have the party’s manifesto.
And Southern Province Minister has warned civil servants in Livingstone who have applied to be adopted in one of the political parties contesting Livingstone Parliamentary seat bye-election.
Speaking in Livingstone when he paid a curtsey call on Southern Province Minister on Thursday, Mr. Kabimba said that the PF would want to see government officials speak the party’s manifesto which he said is the reference point for the PF Government.
“It’s compulsory for every department to have the party’s manifesto as a reference point” He said.
Mr. Kabimba said that that there is no any other document which is guiding the PF government apart from the party’s manifesto.
He said that Zambians gave the PF Government the mandate to deliver quality services to its citizens adding its mandate is up to 2016 and even beyond.
Mr. Kabimba said that the PF is aware that many Zambians were still wallowing in poverty.
He said that the survival of Zambians depends mainly on the party’s strength adding that and that the party is the engine of the Government.
He said that there is need for all PF members to apply themselves to the challenge of strengthening and growing the party with unity.
And speaking when he welcome Mr. Kabimba in his office, Southern Province Minister Obvious Mwaliteta warned that the PF Government would not allow civil servants who are actively involved in politics.
Mr. Mwaliteta said that the Government is aware that there are civil servants who have applied for adoption in one of the political parties to contest the Livingstone parliamentary seat bye-election.
He said that such civil servants should resign on their own before Government takes actions because they are frustrating government’s policies.
Mr. Mwaliteta said the information that civil servants are involved in active politics in the province is disturbing.
He was also quick to recommend President Michael Sata for creating Pemba as a district and that people of Pemba are now excited because Pemba has economic activities.
