Kabimba Tribunal starts as petitioners caught unware

The Tribunal set up by embattled Acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda to investigate Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba has today started at the Supreme Court as petitioners together with their lawyer Makebi Zulu have been caught unprepared.
According to our source, the tribunal chaired by Acting Supreme Court Justice Evans Hamaundu is taking place right now.
The source said Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba who has refused to resign is in attendance.
Meanwhile, the petitioners and their lawyer Makebi Zulu have been caught unaware because they did not know that the tribunal would start sitting today. The source said the Acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda had on Monday informed the petitioners Brebner Changala and Lucky Mulusa through their lawyer Makebi Zulu that there will be a preparatory meeting today at her office at 12 hours. However the meeting could not take place at 12 hours because Mr. Mulusa had not yet arrived from Solwezi and the meeting was rescheduled to 14 hours. When the trio went for the preparatory meeting at 14 hours, they were surprised to be told that the tribunal was on.” I do not think there will be anything positive from this tribunal the petitioners were duped that they were coming for a meeting to set dates only to be told the tribunal is on. So you can conclude how the outcome will be. The judiciary has gone to Dogs” the source said.
