Kabimba writes ECZ on PF attempts to manipulate it to certify Ministers /MPs without G12 requirement

The opposition Rainbow party has written to the Examination Council of Zambia and the Electoral Commission of Zambia on alleged attempts by the Patriotic Front to compromise the verification of grade 12 certificates ahead of the August polls.‬
According to a letter dated 21st March 2016 and addressed to the Examination Council of Zambia Director and copied to the Electoral Commission of Zambia Director, Rainball party Secretary General Wynter Kabimba alleges that PF Members of Parliament and Ministers who do not have the minimum grade 12 requirement or its equivalent are trying to manipulate the Examination Council to certify their certificates.
“The Rainball party is now in receipt of information to the effect that some Patriotic Front Members of Parliament and Ministers are attempting to use your office to verify and certify their certificates which do not meet the grade 12 certificate (or its equivalent) criteria,” Reads part of the letter.
Kabimba states in the letter that such actions are not only unconstitutional but also constitute a criminal offense under the Penal Code both on the part of those involved and officers in the Examination Council of Zambia.
He further warned that such a fundamental and glaring breach of the law and related insidious acts shall be uncovered soon.
