Kabwe pupils riot, as one school head teacher resists transfer

Pupils at Kabwe’s Jasmine boys secondary school yesterday fought running battles with police officers after their calls demanding for the removal of their head teacher a Ms. Kabwenda went unattended to.

The pupils charged that Kabwenda was being insensitive to their plight after she introduced a rule that they must report at 06:30 hrs. The pupils complained that most of them stay far away from the school which is not serviced by any public transport but Kabwanda insisted that her time remains unchanged. She has also demanded that in that vein teachers report at 06:00hrs. Most government schools in Zambia start lessons at 07:30 hrs.

And in another development, George Bwalya has resisted being transferred from Mine secondary School to the incomplete Makululu secondary school thereby stifling a chain of transfers.

Bwalya is said to be having an affair with provincial education officer Jenniffer Chishimba Banda and resisting the transfer because he has no school fees to loot at Makululu. Chishimba Banda is the same woman who blocked the transfer of the randy Malcolm Moffat principle Maxwell Sikwela, her other other lover.
