Football Association of Zambia President Kalusha Bwealya has accepted the resignation of three committee members.
Kalusha says his executive will in the next few days meet to fill the vacancies in accordance with Article 27, sub section 2, of the FAZ constitution.
And Kalusha says his executive will continue administering Zambian soccer because it was dully elected to do so.
He was speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka Thursday afternoon.
Kalusha noted that the FAZ constitution does not provide for a petition, but a written request by two thirds of the members of FAZ, to call for an Emergency Council meeting.
Kalusha also urged those trying to champion the petition to adhere to laid down procedure.
The three copperbelt based committee members who have stepped down are Pivot Simwanza, Violet Bwalya and Henschel Chitembeya.
