Minister of Information Chishimba Kambwili has failed to officiate at the World Press Freedom Day after hearing that Mulenga Sata has ditched PF and joined UPND.
Kambwili was scheduled to address journalists today and was last night on TV telling journalists to turn up in large numbers and listen to his speech.
But on his way to the venue Kambwili, like most PF ministers was briefed that there is an ‘earthquake’ at Chainama hotel. Kambwili immediately developed stomach problems and ordered the driver to turn back. After waiting in the sun for many hours, journalists were instead addressed by Frank Bwalya and maize smuggler Forrie Tembo.
Meanwhile there is huge panic in PF right now. Ministers, cadres and remaining PF structures are meeting to react to the news of Mulenga Sata’s departure.
The problem is that a seed of mistrust in PF has been planted as no one knows who is defecting next, it could be Amos Chanda.
