*Apologize to Kampyongo, Grandview, Bokani Soko, Speaker orders Chishimba Kambwili*

Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini has ordered Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili to apologise for having uttered a false statement suggesting that Minister of Home Affairs Steven Kampyongo is corrupt.
Dr. Matibini says Mr. Kambwili was given a chance by the Privileges Committee to substantiate his claims that Mr. Kampyongo received vehicles from Grandview as gratification but failed to do so.
The Speaker says it is wrong for Mr. Kambwili to use the floor of the house to damage other people’s reputations.
Dr. Matibini guided that the freedoms and privileges that Members of Parliament enjoy are not limitless.
He said since Mr. Kambwili who was no present during the ruling, will apologise when he comes to Parliament.
The Speaker’s ruling was because of a point of order which was raised by Mr. Kampyongo.
In his point of order Mr. Kampyongo complained that it was wrong for Mr. Kambwili to allege that he received vehicles from Grandview as an inducement to give the company a contract to supply fire tenders to government.
The Speaker has ordered Kambwili to apologize to both Hon Stephen Kampyongo and the director of the firm Grandview, Mr. Bokani Soko.
