Former Information Minister Chishimba Kambwili has pleaded not guilty to three counts of traffic offences.
Kambwili took plea before Lusaka Magistrate Brian Simachela at the Fast Track Court in Lusaka today.
Kambwili is in count one alleged to have knowingly been in charge of a motor vehicle registration number AOB2949 bearing a false registration mark (CK900) which was being driven by a Mr Chileshe Chileshe
In another count, Kambwili is charged with the offence of permitting Chileshe Chileshe to drive a motor vehicle without a drivers’ licence.
Kambwili is further accused of having failed to display a certificate of insurance disk contrary to regulation three and four of the statutory instrument Number 33 of 2015.
The three offences are alleged to have been committed on the 13th of August on Dedan Kimathi Road in Lusaka.
The matter has since been adjourned to September 21st, 2017 for commencement of trial and Kambwili is being represented by Keith Mweemba and others lawyers.
