Mandevu MP Jean Kapata and seven other PF MPs have been despatched to Namwala to spread hate speech against UPND president Hakainde Hichilema. This will certainly be part of the lead stories on the state media as Kapata is carrying a horde of journalists.
One of the PF officials in the team has said that Kapata will also tour the fishing camps along Kafue river where there was political violence between PF and UPND. Some people had their makeshift huts burnt and thereafter 43 UPND cadres have been arrested and locked up in jail while PF cadres have been moved to Namwala secondary school as displaced people. The team will also tour one of Hichilema’s ranches and parade more people to speak ill of the UPND leader.
And police have continued arresting and brutalising UPND cadres as five more have been arrested and took plea today. The state has denied all the accused, including some who are sick bail.
