Kasama residents denounce Post newspaper, commend Watchdog

Kasama residents in Northern Province Thursday morning protested at  Post newspaper offices over the paper’s biased and unethical reporting against their area MP who is also Defence Minister, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM).

The residents stormed the branch of the newspaper and vowed to block it from being sold in Northern province because it is unjustifiably tarnishing the image of their area MP.

Some of the resident who were chanting viva Zambia Watchdog (this on-line Publication) accused the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of being biased over the on-going investigations against alleged corrupt activities of GBM that are being sponsored by Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba and Post newspaper owner, Fred Mmembe.

There has been in-fighting in the ruling PF over succession wrangles pitting GBM and the Wynter Kabimba group sponsored by the Post newspaper.

In yesterday’s edition, The Post newspaper cleared there friend Mr. Kabimba of any wrong doing while the Kasama MP has been found wanting by the ACC.
