Katumbi shuns Umutomboko over Kabimba’s thief remark.

Democratic Republic of Congo Katanga Governor has for the first time shunned the Umutomboko ceremony of the Lunda people in Luapula Province of Zambia.

Moise Katumba is reported to have shunned the ceremony in Mwansabombwe because of him being labeled a thief by Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba.

A source within the organising committee and government said Moise Katumbi has vowed never to attend the ceremony until Kabimba apologises.

Mr. Katumbi has been one of the main financiers of the annual ceremony.

And Paramount Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni people in Eastern Province also shunned the ceremony because President Michael Sata did not attend the Nc’wala ceremony in Mtenguleni in Chipata.
