Kavindele says too many Chinese are taking up jobs meant for Zambians

Kavindele

Former vice-president Enoch Kavindele says the huge number of Chinese labourers migrating into Zambia is a major source of unemployment in Zambia.

Kavindele was quoted by Radio Phoenix on Monday 06 : 45 hours news saying that the PF has allowed the Chinese too much freedom to bring in workers from China at the expense of Zambians.

He said while the investment from China and expertise is welcome in Zambia, the huge number of workers who accompany these investments is not.

He said the Chinese workers are taking up the jobs which young Zambians need are in most cases very qualified to take up.

He said when Europeans or American investors move into Zambia, they bring about 10 workers from countries of origin but that the Chinese bring 300 for any small investment.

And Kavindele says ceremonial vice-president Guy Scott is right when he says the PF will be voted out at the next elections if they fail to create jobs for young people.

He said there are too many Zambian youths roaming the streets aimless due to unemployment. He said it was such unemployed youths who voted for PF after being promised job opportunities.
