Former Minister of Local Government and Housing, Eustarkio Kazonga says the Movement for Multi party Democracy (MMD) is currently in reflection after its loss and will be back after 2016 polls.
In a statement released to the watchdog Kazonga said that the former ruling party is set to do a postmortem so that it can work on its mistakes and plan for the future.
He claimed that the MMD is optimistic of being given another mandate to rule by the voters once the party is reorganized.
Meanwhile, MMD Chadiza Member of Parliament (MP) Allan Mbewe urged the Patriotic Front (PF) Government to work hard and deliver as the people of Zambia will judge based on its performance.
Mbewe said if the PF does live up to the voters expectations the ruling party will once again be part of those in the opposition.
Commenting on the banning of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) pending audits, Mbewe noted that there is need for the audits to be conducted in a credible manner to allow transparency.
The MP further said his party shall compliment the good the PF shall do and at the same time will condemn policies or pronouncements that will not prioritize the aspirations of the Zambian people.
