His Majesty King Mswati III of Swaziland Thursday accepted letters of credence from the High Commissioner of Zambia Agnes Ngoma.
Accepting letters of credence from Agnes Ngoma, High Commissioner of Zambia, His Majesty explained, “I am delighted and happy to receive you in the Kingdom of Eswatini. Swaziland values the friendship that we have had with your country over the years” according to the Swazi observer.
And Ms Ngoma told the King that what impressed her the most working in the Kingdom was that people were holding on to culture and traditions.
“It is appreciative to note that this has been a major instrument in sustaining peace and unity among the Swazi people.”
She also commended the King as the Chairman of the SADC TROIKA organ for his efforts in ensuring peace and stability in countries that have problems in the region.
“Zambia will continue to support these efforts as we believe peace and stability are an essential prerequisite for the regional integration and economic development.”
President Banda on April 16, 2009, appointed Ms Ngoma as High Commissioner to Mozambique and urged her to explain what was happening in Zambia to the people of Mozambique.
Ms Ngoma is believed to be president Banda’s cousin.
