KK falls ill, PF thugs attack mourners as Betty funeral service suspended

First president Kenneth Kaunda has been taken ill prompting the funeral service of his wife to be suspended.

And PF thugs this morning tried to strangle UPND members who went to the church service of Betty Kaunda.

Mourners had gathered for the church service in the mourning when PF thugs planted at the entrance  spotted William Banda and Edward Mumbi and charged at them trying and tried to strangle them.

UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema had aready gone inside.

The PF thugs were only interrupted and stopped their thuggery when someone announced that the funeral service had been suspended.

The casket of Betty had already reached the Church but had to be taken back after family announced that Kaunda has fallen ill.

Panji Kaunda later announced that his father has just been hopspitalised at UTH in an ordinary ward and not the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Panji claimed that his father is just on bed rest.

Council of Churches in Zambia Gen. Sec. Rev. Suzanne Matale challenged President Sata to denounce the conduct of PF cadres at the memorial of Mama Betty.

UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema also condemned the attack on him, William Banda and Edward Mumbi, by PF cadres at the memorial of Mama Betty Kaunda as street hooliganism.
