Kwacha continues downward journey

Due to poor national leadership, the PF Kwacha has continued depreciating and tumbling against hard currencies. Businesses are closing down rapidly. Capital for cross border business people is daily lessening due to declining value of the local currency.

The Kwacha is slowly going to K7000 (Zambian Kwacha or K7 PF money) per one USA Dollar.

At Zambia National Commercial Bank (ZANACO), One USA dollar now costs K6.8566. One British Pound is going at K10.5232 as Tuesday 17, 2015.

Just last Friday; one USA Dollar was fetching K6.7259. One British Pound was last Friday fetching K10.2419 from ZANACO.

On February 10, 2015, 1 US Dollar was costing K6.639 while 1 British Pound was going for K10.1236, according to Zambia National Commercial Bank rates.

Just a week earlier, February 2, 2015, the Zambian Kwacha was trading at K6. 579 per one US dollar in ZANACO. The British Pound was fetching K9.923
