Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) president Steven Lungu has maintained his call for the DPP to resign.
Lungu has been quoted by Radio Phoenix saying that the decision to demand the resignation of Chalwe Mchenga was made by the LAZ council and not by him alone.
He said that documentation in form of minutes of the coucil are there to prove.
He was reacting to vice-president George Kunda who eralier in the morning accused him of working with opposition political parties.
Kunda had also advised Lungu that he must not make LAZ decisions based on the editorial coments of some newspapers.
But Lungu maintained that LAZ has a rtesponsibility to protect the rule of law.
He dismissed allegations by the vice president that LAZ operates like a member of the UPND/PF alliance.
