Lets join hands and fight Public Order Act- Sondashi urges opposition parties

Opposition Forum for Democratic Alternatives (FDA) president Ludwig Sondashi has urged opposition political parties to join hands and petition the High Court to interpret the provisions of the Public Order Act.

Dr. Sondashi’s call comes in the wake of concerns on how the Public Order Act is being administered by the Zambia Police.

Dr. Sondashi, who is also a constitutional lawyer, says in view of such concerns, the opposition led by United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema should petition the High Court to seek interpretation.

The FDA president has told Qfm News that other than seeking the High Court’s legal position on the Public Order Act, he does not see any other way the matter can be resolved.
