From the letter, it is clear why the fight against corruption under the task force had limited success. It is ease to deduce the following:
The nchito brothers had the vigor to pursue the case as prosecutor while the Dpp was mild and had no serious intention to win the case. Like most civil servants he was complacent with just running the office without meaningful success.His words on him not needing security and that he never worked vindictively to make him create enemies pointed to his weakness;
Dpp might have been right on the issue of the immaturity of the Nchito brothers, but this was also a weapon which could have used by the prosecution as the two had a reputation to build. Hence the high probability of them to work extra hard.
Lastly it is not surprising that such battles had been fought in the task force. Any new thing takes alot of energy to gain momentum. Friction is the main force that always works against such.
