Litunga tasked to force Barotse MPs to vote for Bill 10

The Litunga of Barotseland has sealed a deal with president Edgar Lungu to restore the Barotseland agreement of 1964.

Litunga was invited to state house where he was having talks and has sealed a deal.

The Litunga is expected back in Barotseland this weekend as all chiefs in Barotseland will be meeting again starting on the 9th December in Limulunga.

According to the deal, the Litunga Lubosi Imwiko II is going to summon all the 19 Members of Parliament who are hailing from Barotseland, and he will persuade and task them to support and vote for Bill 10 when it will be tabled in Parliament next February.

Just yesterday UPND Nalikwanda MP, he was sponsored to appear on Lusaka’s Hot Fm radio in the Morning where he was talking about democracy and Barotseland.

Restoration bid moves a step further as BRE’s submission on Bill 10 now appears on [page 18] of the National Assembly of Zambia Bill 10 of 2019 Parliamentary Select Committee’s Report as published by the Official Zambian Parliamentary Website.
