The Supreme Court, supervised by discredited ailing dictator Michael Sata’s aunt, Lombe Chibesakunda is expected to over-turn the High Court judgement’s ruling and stop Dora Siliya, Hastings Sililo, and Mawell Mwale from re-contesting their seats.
Information reaching the Watchdog indicate that Lombe Chibesakunda, the PF cadre masquerading as Supreme Court Justice is poised to make the dramatic ruling a day before nominations.
As part of her ruling, Chibesakunda who has been rejected by parliament will also order that nominations for the three bye-elections go ahead as set by the Electoral Commission the next day. This she will do to catch the opposition unaware and possibly have the PF candidates go unopposed.
“As you may know, Siliya, Mwale, and Sililo had all won their cases of vote malpractice under the High Court and the judgements were only over-turned by Lombe Chibesakunda with a view to create a parliamentary majority for her PF party so that they can confirm her. She is still determined with this project. Especially of barring Dora Siliya who the PF and Fred Mmembe have ganged-up to stop at all costs,” sources said.
Sources said the opposition parties should put in place a plan B with possible strong standby candidates ready to file-in the next day since this will be the Supreme Court ruling that might be difficult to challenge at short notice, unless the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) puts its foot down and defer nominations again.
