Long queues forming in Mufumbwe

Long queues characterised the first hours of voting in Mufumbwe indicating the voter turnout maybe be impressive.

Polling stations opened at 06:00 hours but people had already queued outside the stations.

There are more than 27-thousand registered voters with 40 polling stations in Mufumbwe.

The contest is between MMD’s Stafford Mulusa,  and PFs Steven Masumba. UNIP ‘s Steven Kamwengo is also on the ballot papers.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia is expected to announce the winner tomorrow around 10 hours. But the Zambian Watchdog will have the results much earlier than that.
