Luapula Police DCIO shoots an innocent teenager……

EMMANUEL Musonda, aged 16 was allegedly shot by Zambia Police Luapula Division Criminal Investigations Officer – DCIO Leon Mweemba Ngulube for no reason. He was later locked up in police cells and framed with a charge of Robbery .

Police sources and family members said that ‘Musonda who was coming from escorting his girlfriend found his father in law standing with the same police chief around 2100hrs at a twincab Foton police car. The boy was commanded to kneel down and declare what he had in his pockets. He told them he had nothing but after searching him they found a phone which they ordered him to put on the floor but sensing danger he ran away then Ngulube opened fire and shot him in the right leg’.

Musonda later returned to the duo complaining that he’s been shot at but Mweemba denied, telling him that he just stepped on a bottle as he was running away. Other people at the scene witnessed the shooting and he was taken to Mansa General Hospital where he was admitted up to Tuesday. Upon being discharged from the hospital, police picked him and locked him up in police cells to cover their error.

The mother, when contacted ,confirmed the incident and said that she personally complained to police that her son had an injury and keeping him in a congested cell was worsening the situation so ‘that is how they moved him just at the inquiries where he is being held but my son is innocent. Leon who is a play boy has surprised members of the public in Luapula as he always sides with criminals whilst detaining innocent citizens. Right now he has impregnated a manganese corn lady commonly known as Noma. He has deprived manganese dealers of their swindled minerals whilst protection his slay queen. He has made the police station a dumping site for manganese as he is untouchable.
