Lubinda urges media to be professional

Patriotic Front (PF) Chairperson for Local Government and Housing Given Lubinda has charged that unprofessionalism among the media has reached alarming levels and should be addressed.

Lubinda said the media should come clean and distance itself from the Government’s plan to undermine opposition political parties.

He urged journalists to redeem themselves and change their ways as their actions will be difficult to reverse if it so happens that a different party emerges victorious in the September 20 elections.

Lubinda also appealed to the media to bring out facts at all times and not alter stories to please President Rupiah Banda or Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) Lusaka Province Chairperson William Banda, adding that the press owe the Zambian people a service to inform and educate them to make informed choices.
