The Republican Progressive Party RPP, regrets with deepness statements attributed to president Edgar Lungu as having been uttered at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport upon arrival from Ethiopia. The president has issued a statement asking Zambians to allow him to be a dictator for once so that he can address issues of infernos in the country. The president has further further reiterated the need for him to abrogate some rights of citizen for him to due with the issues of the escalating fires.
RPP advise the president in light of these statements that he has issues to maintain level headedness and maturity in the way he handles these calamities so that he doesn’t in anyway persecute innocent politiciand through abuse of state power. The RPP sees absolutely no need for the president to act as a dictator not even for a smallest moment since what the nation want for now is mature leadership, peace and harmony. For condemn in all possible terms these intimidatory statements attributed to president lungu and we demand that the president withdraws these serious dictatorial statements that borders on sublimating liberties and rights of people to reason freely
