LUNGU’S TRIBALISM BITES AGAIN
PF President Edgar Lungu has through his minions continued firing well-performing Tongas from government owned institutions. This time around, he has ordered the ZCAS Board to fire the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Alvert Ng’andu. Dr. Ng’andu a former UNZA Registrar, renowned CEO, oversaw the establishment of ZCAS University and numerous scores the institution has made in the recent past, which resulted in increase d enrollment numbers.
Three months ago, the ZCAS Board approved the renewal of his contract, based on his exemplary performance, but this did not please the powers at State House, who ordered that his contract should be ended.
Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS) is owned by Ministry of Finance which appoints the Board. The firing of people on ethnic grounds should stop, we just have one Zambia, let people be fired for non-performance and not ethnicity.
