Lungu declared President

Patriotic Front candidate Edgar Lungu has been declared President of Zambia after he polled 807,925 votes representing 48.33 percent.
His closest rival Hakainde Hichilema of the UPND polled 780,168 representing 46.67 percent.
Returning officer and Acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda declared Lungu as the duly elected President of Zambia at 22.30 hours.
The gap between Edgar Lungu and Hichilema is 27, 757.
Lungu will be inaugurated tomorrow Sunday at Heroes Stadium.
