Lungu embarks his medical trip to Asia

As earlier revealed by the Zambianwatchdog, ailing President Edgar Lungu last evening left the country for China where his main purpose is for treatment using medication not yet approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Just like late Michael Sata’s medical trips, Lungu’s trip has also been disguised as an official working visit where, according to the Chinese media, he will just be among the two African Heads of State together with Uganda’s Yowere Museni.

During his roughly two weeks visit to Asia, Lungu will be accorded an opportunity to address the 2015 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference before proceeding for medication in between being paraded before businessmen in that country.

Lungu, who is accompanied by First Lady Esther Lungu and his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda, left Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at 21:40 hours aboard an Emirate flight.

Also accompanying him is a large contingent of Lungu’s personal physicians that will work with others from Pakistan and India.
