Lungu was staying in a presidential suite where he was paying Euro 6, 700 (K86, 254) per night, according to his officials. That means for the two nights he spent Euro13, 400 (K172, 000) for accommodation only. One can just imagine how much Lungu spent on French Wines.

His officials that included Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba, State House Spokesperson Amos Chanda, special assistant for corruption Kaizer Zulu, Lungu’s concubines Mumbi Phiri and Dora Siliya and Commerce minister Margaret Mwanakatwe, were also staying at the same Le Meurice hotel in central Paris.
