Lungu gives Kasunga K200 thousand, diplomatic appointments to de-campaign Yambayamba

President Edgar Lungu on Saturday gave Everisto Kasunga K200 thousand plus a diplomatic appointment on condition that he (Kasunga) decampaigns UPND candidate Giles Yambayamba in the forth-coming Senga Hill bye-election.

According to State House source, and people close to Mr. Kasunga initially he demanded the vacant post of deputy Secretary to Cabinet.

But Lungu objected because Former president Rupiah Banda has already booked that position.

In a meeting held at State House with Kasunga, who’s is also the PF Mbala losing candidate in 2011 General Elections, a provisional diplomatic appointment was agreed subject to both parties agreeing to further terms today 7th April 2015.

Kasunga is currently with no income and has so far accepted to betray his tribesman by joining the PF campaign teams in Senga Hill for former MMD MP Kapembwa Simbao.
