Lungu, Kaizer Zulu’s attempt to bribe UPND candidates flops

Feeling the heat of change and fearing to lose the forthcoming elections, President Edgar Lungu last night desperately made several attempts to bribe some of the UPND adopted candidates to entice them not to file in nominations today so that PF can go unopposed.

Lungu used his political advisor who also doubles as his corruption agent Kaizer Zulu to call the targeted candidates whom he promised motor vehicles and cash.

Two candidates confirmed in separate interviews with the Watchdog that Kaiser told them that they would get the exact Toyota Land Cruisers vehicles given to the outgoing MPs and 75% of gratuity if they succumb.

“Imagine he told me that I get a vehicle and gratuity which I have not worked for. He also said that if I help Lungu to win elections then he would add on some more and asked me to drive to Lusaka but I turned it down,” he said.

Kaizer and Lungu have been planning for such wasteful plans for the past two weeks hence their desperate calls for UPND leader to name his candidates and the Presidential running mate  but were shocked that UPND only released the comprehensive list two days before filing in. We challenge Lungu and Kaiser to deny this.

Hichilema is yet to name his running mate, most likely on the date of filing on Friday.
