President Edgar Lungu has ordered the cancellation of former defence Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM)’s contracts with government agencies, such as the Food Reserve Agency (FRA).
GBM’s trucks operating under Arizona Marketing were turned away from Mbala FRA depots where they should have loaded on Wednesday.
The decision to cancel GBM’s government contracts was arrived at in one of the meetings at Chichele’s Presidential Lodge in Mfuwe, attended by former president Rupiah Banda and his fugitive son Henry Banda.
GBM supported the opposition UPND in the last election and has maintained that he will not bulge down to Lungu who he feels has gone against late president Michael Sata’s legacy.
And the Watchdog will soon reveal details of some of the key deals and decisions and the people Lungu met while on holiday in Mfuwe.
The watchdog knows in detail the names of foreign nationals, some working for other security wings, local and foreign contractors, that will fund Lungu’s campaigns for 2016 elections.
