Lungu orders council to remove UPND campaign materials in Chipata

Sick dictator Edgar Lungu has ordered the Council in Eastern Province to remove all UPND campaign materials as he visits the area to try and undo the massive damage the UPND President Hakainde Hichilema and his Vice-Presidents Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba and Dr. Canisius Banda have caused in the area.

As you can see in the photo, the council with Zambia Police are using the fire engine to unmount and dismantle the UPND campaign posters mounted on poles in Katete in total disregard to the provisions of the Electoral Code of Conduct.

One wonders what evidence ECZ wants to see other than such a photo for them to disqualify a political party as the law is very clear on removal of posters.

Infact the councils are part of the electoral process at local levels and manage the conflict resolution meetings and polling stations, but they are the ones now removing UPND posters themselves.

But Lungu’s posters stand undisturbed even in the perceived UPND strongholds such as Mazabuka and others.
