Lungu reveals intention to declare state of emergency

Dictator Edgar Lungu has landed in Livingstone and immediatelly started issuing threats.

Lungu said if violence continues to prevail he will be forced to declare a state of emergency.
Lungu said if the acts of arson and unlawful order continued he would be pressed to declare a state of emergency.

While in Northen province Last week, Lungu said he would travel to Southern province to show people there that he is president.

A state of emergence will make no difference as the country is already under a police state. Without a state of emergence political opponents are been arrested without search warrants, tortured on  their private parts and denied police bond, what difference will a state of emergence make?

So why cant he just declare it? .

I remember late M. C Sata (MHSRIP) at the height of his opposition campaign saying; I HAVE STOPPED CAMPAINING BECAUSE MMD IS CAMPAIGNING FOR ME…THEIR PAPERS SATA, THEIR ZNBC SATA, THEIR CAMPAIGN SATA…you are not decampaigning me but campaigning for me.

@Kabila u have got it right. Lungu has been advised that the Trumped Up Treason Charge is legally invalid and so he has decided to declare a State of Emergency to re-arrest HH and banish him to Mukobeko Prison as originally planned. Lungu is hoping that this way he will kill the Petition which is supposed to be heard by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) soon after exhausting domestic Remedies in the Zambian Courts. The High Court (HC) of Zambia is procastinating in confirming that the Petitioners have a Right to be heard in terms of the Bill of Rights which they administer. If the HC confirms that the Petitioners have a Right to be heard then they must be heard in Court. “Every Right has a Remedey”.Since Concourt erroneously and illegally dismissed the Petition it means that the Petition should be heard by ICJ which is a higher Court than Concourt. To stop the hearing of the Petition by ICJ Lungu has schemed to either imprison or kill the Petitioners hence the Treason Charges on HH and declaration of the State of Emergency. Lungu knows that once the Petition is heard by the ICJ he will be found guilty of having stolen the 2016 Election and abrogated the Zambian Constitution in many ways. So Lungu is buying time but the Petition is hanging like a noose around his neck. With or without the State of Emergency the Petition remains to be heard and Lungu’s Illegitimacy persists.Meantime the Economy is on auto pilot and crush landing. Lungu is between a Hard Rock and the Deep Blue Sea. Time will tell.

Lungu chagwa has been informed that his prosecuting team is weak. HH may find his way out. The only way to keep HH in custody is to declare a state of emergency where all courts and other institutions will be paralysed or modified to suite PF needs – not for the benefit of all Zambians. Ba Chagwa why do you hate HH when you prophese to be a christian who cannot fogive?

stupid watchdog, you don’t even know the difference between a state of emergency and our current state of our nation, try and you’ll see what state of emergency mean if you think its the same as today, you are the same fools causing unrest in our beloved country, i wish they could block you again, it was nice without your shit site for the past 3 months, Zambia had sanity.
you are the same idiots that is making it easy for PF to start proposing for internet regulations because of your reckless partisan and insulting ways of reporting, always reporting negatively, MXM

State of emergency is characteristic of dictators. Truly Lungu is a dictator. On 20 June, 2016, he said if HH will not accept the outcome of the elections, you will see what I will do to him. He has fulfilled what he said. Mr Lungu, state of emergency is not for democratic countries. PF members should not rejoice over the state of emergency. Its nature is bad. Cool down Mr. Chagwa Lungu.

We lived for more than twenty years of KK’s state of emergency. We are used as far as we are concerned it does not mean anything anymore. ECL will still fall even with any state of emergency. We are no longer afraid of any human being who can not kill the soul. We are also aware that the state of emergency is meant to punish us from former North Western Rhodesia. So we shall also prepare even if it means using sangomas as some people do.

TRADITIONAL leaders from across 9 districts in Northern province have said they only know of one elected leader in the person of His Excellency, Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia.

Their Royal Highnesses were speaking during a meeting with the Head of State last evening at the Kasama State Lodge in Northern province. The traditional leaders reaffirmed their support for the Patriotic Front (PF) led government and President Lungu.

In a joint statement read on their behalf by His Royal Highness, chief Kaputa of Kaputa district, the traditional leaders stated that they remained hopeful in President Lungu’s leadership and commitment to deliver development to the region by giving priority to the road network and infrastructure development in order to easy the transportation of goods and services and to uplift the living standards of the chiefdoms respectively.

“Your Excellency, as traditional leaders here in Northern province, we must put on record that we only know of one President here in Zambia and that is you Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu. We remain hopeful in your leadership to bring development to this region with priority being the road networks, infrastructure development including a technological Institute before 2021 and an improved distribution of farming inputs for our farmers in the region,” said Chief Kaputa.

Responding to their Royal Highnesses, President Edgar Lungu praised the traditional leaders for their undivided support. The Head of State appealed to the traditional leaders to open up their land for investment stating that government has found it very difficult to access land for development in some Chiefdoms.

“Tulelomba ukweba ati mwingatwafwa. Government has had difficulties accessing land in the Chiefdoms for investment in agriculture and other developmental projects. Muletupokelela ngatwaisa naba Investor in order for us to development the region and uplift the living standards of our people,” said the President.

“It was the desire of President Sata to open up the entire road network in Zambia for easy transportation of goods and services. That is why he introduced the link Zambia 8000 project. I have instructed the Ministers for Health and Infrastructure development to complete the projects which have been shelved in the region and I only ask ukweba ati mwibika ama deadline amuti tufwile ukupwishi before 2021 or else. For us, developing the Northern region is ongoing, we have a lot to deliver and I would be lying to attach a deadline to that,” stated the Head of State.
