Lungu says he is eligible to stand in 2021

President Edgar Lungu says he is eligible to contest the Presidency in 2021 because he has only served one term from 2016. He says from 2015 to 2016, he was finishing Michael Sata’s term.

ZWD comment: what about the salary? Was it also for Sata?IMG_5507

If it were Hh who won the 2015 Election He Would Not Stand In 2021 Because Of Being Elected Twice And Sworn In Twice. Nothing Of Finishing A Term Of Some One. Cons.Court Rulling Was More Of A Vice President Like Guy Scourt. It Is Not Too Late To Go Back To The Same Court On Twices Not Term As If One Was A Vice President. It Is Not An Issue For Opposition Blocking Pf.But Constitutional Which Is Above All Courts In Zambia Where Lawyers And Judges Should Bend Towards It At All Cost.

Twisting words does not make one a Lawyer, but it is only those you are criminally challenged that twist our CONCOURT ruling which is clear even to a pre-school going kids.

The three years was not a full term and that was a ruling from our CONCOURT.
And this CONCOURT is lovely and sexy in its use of English words.

Now what does the statement “The three years was not a full term”mean to those who have read THINK AGAIN COMPREHENSIONS IN ENGLISH.

Certainly the statement does not mean that the three years is not a term.
    Certainly not.

When it is not a full term, it does not mean it is not a term. The CONCOURT was mindful of other closes in our beautiful constitution as amended in 2016.

Hence it was trivial…… by the standard of our CONCOURT to start talking about it when the CONCOURT was aware or mindful of other clauses.

On this one, I definitely salute our CONCOURT. Only I am not a Lawyer but a Chemist/Maths from Natural Science clearly following our CONCOURT Judgement.

Being sworn twice to the Office of the Presidency, must have been in the mind of our CONCOURT; and this, is more than enough to separate political cry boys like Trump and Political cry girls like Trump’s girl friends.

Even if one can prove that he is indeed neuter gender, “being sword twice” is the sword of separation.

Unless, someone wants to commit Treason for reasons that I do not know, and I quote; [CHAPTER VII (OF THE LAWS OF ZAMBIA)
    TREASON AND OTHER OFFENCES
    43. (1) A person is guilty of treason and shall be liable to suffer death who-
    (a) prepares or endeavours to overthrow by unlawful means the Government
as by law established; or ….]

The law, “being sworn twice”, is the end of the road. No more elbow on the jet for the cloud to see and say; “there goes the President of jambia.”

The trouble with the constitution in Zambia it is always personalised. Let us assume that in 2015, Hakainde Hichilema won the elections and became President. If he won the elections again in 2016, would he have been eligible to stand again in 2021? On the other hand, if this 2016 amended constitution was in place in 2011, Guy Scott would have been President WITHOUT an election until 2016. Then Scott would not have served a term of office in 2016 and would have been perfectly eligible to stand in 2021. Which scenario applies to Lungu?

One must first understand that Edgar lungu was not brought to the office by the 2016 amended constitution.so one should think critically before making your judgement as to whether he qualifies or not.

I do not remember President Lungu serving as Vice President in Zambia! The Clause that defines a Term Of Office relates to a Vice President who takes over from an Exited President! Well even if the definition of Term of Office were to be Extended to the Office of President, he still has to satisfy the Holding of Office Clause, separately and independently! So, how could he ever be Eligible?

Everyone, who is opining on the matter, without authority and capacity, is in contempt of Constitutional Court. All of them need to be pulled up to set the record straight once and for all.

He is very much eligible to stand for 2021. Those spreading falsehood about his eligibility need to read the Constitution of Zambia carefully. Also, the judgement by Constitutional Court is crystal clear. The opposition wants to dislodge the democracy in Zambia. President Edgar Lungu is the biggest hurdle in their plan. Hence they are spreading roumers about his terms in office.

Is it sata who was drawing salaries? Did you succeed sata or you were voted for. Zambians are fed up with your leadership.

Just leave the country you were sown in twice and elected twice. No one who needs you at the moment. You’ve just brought poverty in this country. You are the worst President among the presidents who have ruled this country.

And whom are to telling to leave the country? If at all anyone needs to leave is the one who is feeding on mafia money and destroying Zambia.

What are people fearing. The truth is that Lungu has served one full term, so what’s the fuss? Hichilema and his Tonga party think that when Lungu is not there then Hichilema will win. They thought so in 2015, but he lost to Lungu. In 2016 they used the dull strategy of transporting voters to voting centres in Southern province so that they could vote more than once, hence 44000 for Hichilema in Dundumwezi. Next there’s no chance for treble voting for your dull Hichilema. So he’s set to lose very badly. Because he relies on Southern province.

    1. Was he V/President at the time?
    2. How on earth do you finish a term and yet you participated in that election?
    3. Had an opposition leader won the 2015 election, would we be saying the same thing?

Mr. President, did you win the 2015 election? Or you were finishing a term? Please clarify this?

Edward Lungu – Creating fake identity in the name of the Supreme Leader of the country is glaring proof that how low a person you are. If you are courageous enough, come out with your true identity. I challenge you. Now, your flimsy argument. Do you understand basic English? If yes, then read the Constitution – Article 106 and all its clauses. After reading it, count the days from 25 January 2015 to 13 September 2016. Now, convert them into weeks, months and years. Come back to me if it is more than 1095 days or 156 weeks or 36 months or three years, come back to me. If not, don’t poke your nose, where it doesn’t belong. Leave the game for the players. I don’t understand why are you so eager to prove how dull you are!

USAKA Lawyer Joseph Chirwa says after reading the judgement of the Constitutional Court, it is clear that President Edgar Lungu is eligible for 2021 because he has only served one term.

In an interview, Chirwa said the duration of President Lungu’s stay in office the first time he was elected does not constitute a term of office.

“After reading the judgment of the Constitution Court, [it] is [clear] that the President is eligible. The court was asked whether the time from 2015 to 2016 amounted to a term, the court ruled that, that was not a term. Based on the ruling of the court, I conquer with it that President Lungu is eligible to stand in 202
