President Edgar Lungu has sworn -in Major General Dennis Sitali Alibuzwi as Deputy Army Commander replacing Major General Jackson Miti who was fired alongside Lt General Mihova, who was until 31 December 2018 the Army Commander.
Lungu is ‘cleaning up’ the defence top brass and has so far replaced the Zambia Air force Commander, the Zambia Correctional Services (Prisons) Commissioner General and now the Zambia Army Commander and Deputy Commander.
Zambia Police Inspector General Kakoma Kanganja may be the next ‘victim.’
Speaking during the swearing in ceremony, Lungu urged Major General Alibuzwi to ‘restore’ discipline among officers.
