Lungu to divide Southern province

Information reaching the Watchdog shows that Edgar Lungu is planning to split southern province into two by creating a new province he shall name as ZAMBEZI PROVINCE. The new province shall include Livingstone, Sinazongwe, Maamba, Gwembe and Siavonga.

It is said that all plans have been concluded and two of the named former UPND lawmakers are to be appointed as provincial minister and PS respectively. The creation of the said new Zambezi province was to be announced on Friday during the state of the nation address by ECL at parliament. But this could not go ahead as squabbles emerged from the Felix Mutati MMD camp who complained as to why both positions could be reserved for former UPND lawmakers when they never campaigned for PF.

ECL then withheld the announcement of the new province he has created and advised Felix Mutati to counsel and harmonise his camp as he has already decided that the two positions be given to the former UPND law makers.
