Edgar Lungu wants UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema to spend nights at Kamfinsa prison after he was early today bundled in a police vehicle amid tight security and driven to the Copperbelt for a court appearance which the state knew had been adjourned to 21st July 2017. On 7th July the state applied for adjournment in the matter that was scheduled for today and the defence had no objection.
As we exposed earlier that Lungu wants HH tortured in far flung prisons, this was a planned act to elude the opposition leader’s lawyers and since they were aware that the Luanshya matter of unlawful assembly had been adjourned they prepared to go to Kabwe with family members only to be told that he has been driven to Luanshya.
During all this ordeal since yesterday, HH has not had any food or water to drink as he has been barred from seeing the people that bring him food. This is aimed at making him succumb to hunger and thirsty and be forced to consume food and drinks laced with poison.
A source at Kamfinsa prison has disclosed that arrangements were being made earlier this morning to ensure that HH is received and detained there and if the family travels to Kitwe, he may be moved back to Kabwe and later to Kabwe. The whole idea is to make the exercise of visiting HH an expensive and impossible one.
