*POLICE WARNED AGAINST USING OUTDATED WAYS OF INTERROGATING SUSPECTS IN POLICE CUSTODY.*

President Edgar Lungu has warned the police to stop using outdated ways of interrogating suspects in police custody.
Lungu is concerned that in this age, police officers are still brutalizing and beating suspects to give information on minor offences.
He said all suspects are innocent until proven guilty by the courts of law and subjecting them to torture and beatings is unacceptable.
President Lungu expressed the concern this morning when he made an impromptu visit to Kabwata police station where he found two ladies in police cells who were clobbered by police officers for allegedly stealing a K600 from their friend.
